People type those two names because they want a co-op shooter with friends. Mycopunk is closer to a job board and a weapon grid than to a timed run. The roguelike piece is a mode, Ouroboros, not the whole game.
All three are co-op shooters people play in a stack. Mycopunk’s official cap is four, online, same as the number on the PlayStation page. There is no couch co-op category. If your group needs split screen, none of this page will save the purchase.
The tone is corporate-horror comedy and giant mushrooms, which is why Deep Rock comes up. The structure is different. Mycopunk sends you on contracts and banks a hub. I am not going to claim drop rates or class counts for the other two games on this page.
Where Risk of Rain 2 stops being a match
Risk of Rain 2 is the name people use when they mean a run that deletes your build. Mycopunk’s main loop does not. Ouroboros, added 17 Dec 2025, does wipe upgrades for a room chain and then offers Cleanse. If that sentence is the game you wanted, start there. If you wanted the job board, ignore the roguelike tag on old store copy.
Crossplay is another false friend. I cannot confirm it for Mycopunk. Do not assume a Deep Rock habit carries over.
