Five employees, not four. I would start on Wrangler, Bruiser, Scrapper, or Glider. Mycologist is a rescue in Expedition Alpha, added at 1.0, and the wiki still says its strategy page is unfinished.

Mycopunk Glider guide

Mycopunk Glider is the wingsuit class with a rocket volley. A Steam guide loops rockets and flight and quotes 250 DPS. Patch 2.0.2 changed the Star Fuel node.

Mycopunk Wrangler guide

Mycopunk Wrangler uses a rocket lasso and an air dash. Players cite Eyes Up Here, Dead or Alive, and Blood, Sweat, Tears. I am not inventing a full skill grid.

Mycopunk Bruiser guide

Mycopunk Bruiser has a hard-light shield and an air slam. Cited nodes: Optical Attraction and Launch Reserves. No Bruiser line stood out in the 2.0.2 notes.

Mycopunk Scrapper guide

Mycopunk Scrapper uses a grapple post and a jetpack. Named upgrades: Vending Machine, Explosive Personality, Eye in the Sky. No Scrapper-only 1.0 note.

Mycopunk Mycologist guide

Mycologist is the fifth class, added in 1.0 and rescued in Expedition Alpha. Skills are Fungal Skewer, Sporelift, and Infection. The strategy wiki is blank.

A Mycologist page describes the upgrade grid growing 5×5 at level 0, 6×5 at 3, 6×6 at 6, and 7×6 at 10. The same page does not promise every class uses that table. I am not copying it onto Wrangler until I see it there.

Suggested choices for a new file

For movement-focused kits, compare Glider’s wingsuit with Scrapper’s jetpack. Bruiser offers a shield, while Wrangler offers a lasso and dash. Mycologist requires the Expedition Alpha unlock, so older four-class beginner guides do not cover the full roster.

Best character is a search, not a fact. The builds page is opinionated about Glider rockets. The class pages below are the kits.
